Frequently asked questions

It is a one-year online master's for educators who want to lead innovation with emerging technologies. The programme moves from AI fundamentals and generative AI tools through curriculum, instruction and leadership, to a supervised action-research practicum carried out in your own educational setting. It carries 90 ECTS credits.

Twelve months, studied fully online, totalling 90 ECTS. That comprises thirteen taught modules of 5 ECTS each and a 25 ECTS practicum in action research. Live lectures are recorded for offline viewing and assessment is through module assignments and the practicum project.

There are two ways to qualify. The standard route is a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The non-standard route is Performance-Based Admission, open to applicants with relevant professional experience in the subject even where that experience has not led to formal qualifications. Completing the PBA application determines eligibility.

Foundations of AI in education, generative AI in education, curriculum and instruction, community-based pedagogy, designing AI-integrated instruction, curriculum and assessment, leadership development, augmented and virtual reality, machine learning and natural language processing, education and best practices, school change and reforms, ethics, digital safety and AI governance, action research, and teaching mindfulness in schools.

It is the 25 ECTS capstone, a structured eight-step process carried out in your own community or institution. You work through cycles of planning, acting, observing and reflecting: setting research questions, collecting and analysing data, implementing an evidence-based intervention and writing it up as a thesis with recommendations.
