Three to five months, studied fully online. It is a short award of two units rather than a full diploma, so it takes less time than the Level 3 diploma. Intakes are on request, so an advisor arranges your start date rather than you waiting for a fixed term.
Unit 1 covers the roles and responsibilities of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator in the early years. Unit 2 covers strategies and techniques for supporting children and families.
